Development of technology enhanced academic writing materials In this talk, I will talk about my experience with developing self-access academic writing materials in an attempt to create a blended learning environment at a UK university. The materials are designed as self-contained, bite size self-access materials primarily aimed for pre-sessional students as well as both home and international students in their freshmen year in order to supplement their academic English classes.  In the development of the materials, open access content authoring tools such as Xerte and h5p are used. They are embedded into university Moodle and delivered over this tool. During this talk, I will discuss the pedagogical and technological decisions I needed to make in the development of these materials, share some examples and discuss the ongoing research regarding their integration into the academic writing courses.
