Boğaziçi University Journal of Education

Boğaziçi University Journal of Education is a refeered journal that has been publishing scientific articles in the field of education in Turkey and in the world since 1976. It is published three times a year, with one issue in Turkish and two in English. The Journal publishes refereed articles on theoretical or applied research in the following fields: psychological services in education, guidance and psychological counseling; early childhood or pre-school education; special education; adult education; educational administration, supervision, philosophy, history and policies; science and math education; foreign language education and applied linguistics; measurement, testing and research techniques in education; educational technology; program development and evaluation in education.

Manuscripts submitted to the Journal should not have been published or submitted for publication review elsewhere. They could be a research report, a systematic literature review or an original opinion article discussing a new idea or model. 

The journal follows the standards set by the American Psychological Association (APA). Authors are advised to consult the APA 7 publication manual for the rules to be followed in their manuscripts.

Submission guidelines are listed below.

The publication languages of the journal are Turkish and English. The manuscript title should not exceed 20 words. The entire text, excluding figures, tables, and references, should be between 4500 and 7500 words. All pages, including the first page, should be numbered in the upper right corner. In addition to the abstract in the native language, an abstract in the other language should be included. For non-Turkish speakers, the editorial team will assist in preparing the Turkish version of the abstract. These abstracts should be written on separate pages and should be in the range of 100-150 words for applied research and 75-120 words for theoretical article and literature reviews. Below the article abstract, 3 to 5 key words accepted in the scientific language of the field, reflecting the main topic of the article, should be provided.

Boğaziçi University Education Journal is indexed in TR-Dizin (since 2019), ERIHPLUS (since 2021), and SOBIAD (since 2021).
